Ah, here is a new mixed project since it involves yarn and fabric aka sewing. I made this bag after a pattern from one of my first and still favorite books,“The Happy Hooker” by Debbie Stoll. I love the book especially for the whole explanations part because basically this book taught me how to crochet. Whenever I run into problems, this is the book I pick up. If you want to learn to crochet, you should definitely get this book.
The pattern is easy to follow though I made some mistakes in the beginning (instead of turning after finishing each row, I started to crochet in the round). The pattern at the bottom is not perfect! I also crocheted once around the entire bag when it was done to make the edges look nicer. I added some picot at the bottom, which you cannot see on the pics but which of course looks nice.
Lining is made of simply black cotton fabric from IKEA which I had lying around from another project.
I did not keep the bag, it is way way to small for me (I need to drag around tons of stuff in my handbag), though I would consider making a bigger version for myself for next summer.
